The Company
Tower Cloud’s fiber optic and wireless backhaul networks bring agility, predictability and reliability to wireless carriers. It’s no secret that wireless bandwidth demands are exploding. With the increased use of 3G smart phones, like the iPhone, Blackberry and Google’s Android phones, and the launch of 4G services, wireless carriers are scrambling to upgrade and enhance their networks to capitalize on the opportunities that this demand presents.
Tower Cloud competes in a market expected to be worth US$38.0 billion by 2014*. This growth is driven by multiple factors including movement to the mobile Internet, explosion in data services and increased adoption of music, Internet and video. These services are delivered over more than 200,000 cell sites. Today, however, only a very small percentage of these cell sites are serviced by high bandwidth fiber.
Tower Cloud supports wireless carriers by deploying fiber optic and wireless backhaul networks built to serve high bandwidth demands with reliability and agility. Addressing the challenges of mobile backhaul is Tower Cloud’s only business. We are presently expanding our markets in the southern United States and have established relationships with recognized national wireless carriers.
